About this event
Housing instability can create significant disruptions for children and families, but students experiencing homelessness have important educational rights and protections. This webinar provides a family-friendly overview of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, including eligibility, immediate enrollment, school of origin, transportation, dispute resolution, and the role of the district McKinney-Vento liaison. Participants will also explore how schools and community partners can identify and support students and families experiencing housing instability.
